Sal Infurnari
Advocate. Dealmaker. Fixer.

Sal Infurnari, CEO and Principal of GIO Global Expo Consultants, LLC, brings more than four decades of experience in the exhibition, events, and hospitality industries.

Before founding GIO Global Expo, Sal spent 43 years with GES, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Global Accounts. Throughout his tenure, he held senior roles spanning global business development, international sales, mergers and acquisitions, and client relations. He also supported major initiatives for association clients, with a focus on global strategy, corporate sponsorships, and international pavilions.

Sal’s leadership and expertise helped establish GES as a global leader in the international exhibition industry. He built and managed teams responsible for major business-development initiatives and the execution of high-profile events and exhibitions throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In the early 1990s, he played an instrumental role in integrating the sales organizations of four major competitors acquired by GES. He later established the company’s International/Global Business Units division in EMEA, helping drive strategic alliances and acquisitions in the United Kingdom and Dubai.

For 10 years, Sal also served as Chairman of the GES Golf Board, which produced the company’s annual Golf & Tennis Invitational—at the time, one of the exhibition and events industry’s premier tournaments.

Sal’s contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including Top Performers Sales Club, Gold Club, and Platinum Club awards. He has also been an active member of several industry associations, including UFI, IAEE, and the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association.

Sal holds an Associate of Arts degree from Villa Maria College of Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

In addition to leading GIO Global Expo Consultants, Sal currently serves as an advisor and executive manager of operations and sales for the Age Management Medicine Association.
